In the Parish of Lewisham, Kerbing and Channelling
were laid during the year in the following Streets and Roads:—
Former New Cross Road, from the "George" Public-house to
Rushey Green. In Stanstead Lane, a portion relaid and
made good with new material, from the Swiss Cottage Publichouse
to the Blythe Hill Road. Part of the Kerbing, &c.,
relaid in the Dartmouth Road, Forest Hill (western footpath),
and the line of Kerbing made continuous.
New Kerbing, &c., laid from the Vicarage, Lewisham,
to near Ladywell Bridge, and the northern footpath of
Lewisham Hill was made good with Kerbing and Channelling.
The work was executed by Messrs. John Mowlem and Co.,
