THE BIRTH RATE.
The number of births registered in Lambeth during the year
1891, reaches a total of 9097 cases, 80 more than the number
registered in the previous year.
The registered number of male children exceeds by 275 that of
the female. During the same period in the entire Metropolitan
area 134,003 births arc recorded: 68,161 males and 65,842
females.
