The total number of deaths of children under one year of age
registered for the twelve months is 1470, the deaths of 48 of these
were certified by inquest.
The total number of deaths between the ages of one and five
years was 1047.
The total number of deaths between the ages of five and sixty
was 1894.
The total number of deaths at sixty years and above was 1126.

The following Table shows the mortality, male and female, in the different districts, and a comparison of the deaths in each quarter.
