MARRIAGE RATE.
During 1884, 2349 marriages were celebrated in Lambeth,
showing a marriage rate of 18.4 per 1000. The metropolitan
rate being 18.6 per 1000. During last year 2365 marriages
were celebrated in Lambeth, thus the marriages have decreased
by 16.
The number of births and the rate per 1000 of the population in the several registration districts is as follows:—

DEATH RATE.
During the year, 5537 deaths have been registered in Lambeth,
2810 males and 2727 females; of these 395 were strangers who
died in the public institutions—deducting these, the deaths proper
to the Parish numbered 5142 thus the death rate for the year
is 20.2 per 1000. The metropolitan rate for the same period
being 20.3 per 1000.
