TYPHUS.
Four deaths are returned under this heading, including 3
strangers.
I think in the case which occurred in our Parish there was
some room for divergence of opinion in the diagnosis of the
disease.
DIPHTHERIA.
There has been during this year a considerable increase in
this disease, 88 deaths having occurred, viz.: 71 parishioners
and 17 strangers, against 67 last year and 4S the preceding year.
973 deaths occurred in the metropolis against 951 in 1883 and
863 in 1882.

This Table shows the number of deaths from Whooping Cough in the several districts in the Parish of Lambeth, in each year for the last 20 years.
