It may be thus stated that the death-rate of Lambeth
was less than that of the entire Metropolis, and very nearly
corresponded with that of the South Districts of London.
The death.rate of Lambeth being 22¾ per thousand, the
whole of London 23½, and the South Districts nearly 22¾.
