The Vestry of the Parish of St. Mary, fambeth.
METROPOLIS LOCAL MANAGEMENT ACT.
Notice is hereby ginen, that in accordance with the provisions
of the above-mentioned Act, the Vestry has the entire power and control in all
matters affecting Sewers and Drains, and it is required, that before beginning to
lay, or dig out the Foundations of any new House or Building, or to re-build any
House or Building, and also before making any Drain, for the Draining, directly
or indirectly, into the Sewer, seven days' Notice, in writing, shall be given to
the Vestry by the person intending to build or re-build such House or Building, or
to make such drains, and that the work shall be done under the survey and control
of the Vestry, in such manner as they may direct.
That in all cases of Alterations, Stoppages, Re-constructions, and Repair of
existing Drains, Notice shall be given to the Vestry, and their sanction obtained,
previous to the work being done.
That no Bricks, Building Materials, &c., be laid in any Street, or Lime
slacked for the purpose of Making Mortar, without the same being protected by a
proper and sufficient hoarding
That no person or persons shall wheel any Truck or Barrow upon the Foot-,
path of any Road or Street.
That all persons causing obstruction to Traffic on the Footpath or Carriageway,
by placing Goods, &c., thereon for sale, will be proceeded against for such
offence.
That no Pavement or surface of any Street be broken up or disturbed, and
that no Hoarding, or Scaffolding be erected, without the previous consent of the
Vestry.
All Applications, Notices, and Complaints, are to be made to the Offices of the
Vestry, Kennington Green, where every information may be obtained.
