Moved by Mr. E. Kemp and seconded—That that part of
the Report be adopted.
Moved by Mr. Loftus seconded by Mr. Hirst as an amendment—That
it be referred back to the Committee for further
consideration and report.
The amendment was put and carried, and was put as a substantive
motion and carried.

XII. The Clerk submitted a certificate of the Public Analyst
certifying the adulteration of a sample of Whisky, the same
being 31 degrees under proof.
Moved by Mr. Loftus seconded by Mr. Padfield and resolved
—That proceedings be taken against the person who sold the
sample of Whisky.
XIII. The Surveyor submitted an application for liberty to act
as architect in the demolition of Charles Court (West'Ward),
and the erection of a warehouse there.
Moved by Mr. Hirst seconded by Mr. W. A. Kemp and
resolved unanimously—That the request be granted.
XIV. notice of motion.
By Mr. Steadman.
That the wages of the road sweepers be increased from 22/to
25/- per week.
XV. Moved by Mr. Upton seconded by Mr. W. A. Kemp and
resolved—That the Vestry do now adjourn and that thanks
be voted to the Chairman.
The Meeting then separated.
