5 MARCH, 1890.
"'Mile End Vestry, and arrange for the presentation of
"'a joint memorial and as to the attendance of a deputa"
' tion in support thereof.'
"On the 3rd December I received a letter from
"Mr. Ratcliff asking if I had done anything, to which I
"replied that having regard to his letter of the 22nd ult.,
"it seemed that the Limehouse Board desired the
"Surveyors to arrange matters, and that it was in"convenient
(to say the least) to have several persons
" making arrangements, and that one body must do all.
"Mr. Ratcliff replied assenting, and since that time I
"have not heard of a single communication from the
" Limehouse Board on the subject.
"So far as this Vestry is concerned it will concur in
"anything which is reasonable, I believe.
"I will bring the matter before the Highways Com"mittee
this evening, and if possible get the matter
"before the Vestry at the meeting on Wednesday.
"I am,
"Yours obediently,
(Signed) "MILLNER JUTSUM,
Clerk to the Vestry.
