Redman's road—land.
Moved by Mr. Loftus seconded by Mr. Upton and resolved
—That that part of the report be adopted and it was resolved
accordingly.
estimate for general purposes.
The various items of the estimate for labour, road material,
lime and cement, new paving works, fuel for roller, and
smith's work having been separately considered and adopted,
It was moved by Mr. Calton seconded by Mr. T. Cook and
resolved—That the remaining amounts named in the estimate
be adopted.
estimate for lighting, &c.
Moved by Mr. Loftus seconded and resolved—That that
part of the estimate be adopted.
Application to erect Tower clock and Trough in front of
People's Palace.
Moved by Mr. Loftus and seconded by Mr. Calton.—That
that part of the Report be adopted.
Moved by Mr. Browning and seconded by Mr. Nay as an
amendment—That the Vestry do not send any opposition to
the County Council to the application of the Palace Authorities
being granted.
Moved by Mr. Upton and seconded as a further amendment
—That the whole matter be referred back to the Committee.
The amendment of Mr. Upton was by assent put to the
meeting and declared by the Chairman to be carried, and it
was resolved accordingly.
V. The Vestry proceeded to consider the Reports of the
Medical Officer of Health and Surveyor on the subject of the
houses Nos. 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6, Sampson Court, Mile End
Road, under the Artizans and Labourers' Dwellings' Act, 1868.
The owner although called was not in attendance.
Moved by Mr. Richardson seconded by Mr. Upton and
resolved—That the several demolitions, works, matters and
things mentioned and specified in the said Reports are necessary
and ought to be executed and the Vestry do accordingly
so order and further that the Surveyor do if necessary prepare
a plan and specification of such works and an estimate thereof.
VI. The Report of Committee No. 3, was brought up as follows:

Wednesday, 25th September, 1889.
Your Committee beg to report that they met on Wednesday
the 18th day of September instant, there being present
Messrs. Birks, Dinn, Livermore, A. Druitt, and Lyons.
(1) That your Surveyor brought up and read a Report for
which your Committee beg to refer your Board to his Report
Book.

(3) That your Committee resolved to recommend—That a cheque for £364 19s. nd. be drawn in favor of the London County Council, for one quarter's interest on following loans due 1st proximo, viz:
