    In the absence of notification of all cases of the chief epidemic diseases, which cannot be obtained without compulsory powers, the following table of patients admitted in the Asylums Boad Hospitals during the past year, gives the only further available indication of the number of cases of infectious disease, in this district, and in the metropolis generally.
