Mortality from Tuberculosis.—153 deaths, 75 of males
and 78 of females were registered from pulmonary tuberculosis
corresponding to a death-rate of 0.96 per 1,000,
being slightly above that of last year, viz. 0.89, which
was the lowest recorded. 31 deaths were due to other
tuberculous diseases. giving a death-rate of 0.19 per
1,000. Of the 153 persons certified as having died from
pulmonary tuberculosis, 17 had not been notified, of
whom 7 died in public institutions.
The following table gives the time that elapsed in
notified cases of pulmonary tuberculosis between the first
notification and death.

Fulham Tuberculosis Dispensary.—On April 1st, 1921,
the Council took over the Dispensary from the Committee
of Management and engaged all the members of
the staff on the terms of remuneration and conditions of
service of their existing appointment.
Statistics of Dispensary.—The following summary of
the work of the Dispensary has been furnished by
the Tuberculosis Officer, Dr. John Sullivan.
During 1921, 1,662 persons, of whom 757 were notified
cases of tuberculosis, attended the Dispensary. Of
these, 556 were insured, 333 were uninsured adults and
773 were children. Of the insured patients, 281 were
ex-service men, of whom 180 were notified as suffering
from tuberculosis.
646 were new patients, and of these 139 were notified
as suffering from tuberculosis (21.5 per cent.); the
