Dated this 13th day of May, 1890.

AUDITOR'S CERTIFICATE.—Metropolis Management Rates, 25th March, 1890
We beg to report that we have examined the accounts for the year ended March 25th, 1890. Also the Collecting and Deposit Books on
the Local Management Rates kept by the Collectors, also the Vestry Clerk's Cash Book, and the Banker's Pass Book, and find them agree.
We have also examined the Vouchers for the payments made by the Overseers during the same period, and have verified the Balances
at the Bankers on 25th March, 1890, and we find that the Balance due from the Overseers to be £1698 lis. 8d.
We find since the audit of last year the sum of £200 (being balance of money received from Summonses and Warrants) has been paid
by the Overseers to the Vestry Account. With regard to this amount we find no authority in the Metropolis Management Act giving us
power to deal with the same, and we are informed by the Vestry Clerk that the Poor Law Auditor will not allow the sum to be entered on
the Poor Rate Accounts. Under these circumstances we allow the said amount to be included in the Account.
The Vestry Clerk has submitted the Account on Summonses and Warrants for the year ended Lady-day, 1890, but we decline to
entertain the audit thereof for the reasons before stated.
In conclusion, we feel it our duty to record our appreciation of the concise and satisfactory manner in which the accounts have been
kept and presented to us by Mr. Robinson, the Vestry Clerk.
Dated this 20th day of May, 1890. (Signed) A. G. Spells, Auditors under the Metropolis
Henry T. Harrison, Management Acts, 1855—1885.
