February, 1889, the Surveyor produced the plans for the laying out of
the Bishop's meadow, and, having read letter from the Thames Conservators
hereon, stated that he had obtained an extension of time till
August 4th to carry out the work, the matter was ordered to stand over
till the next meeting. At the Works Committee held on the 27th
February, 1889, it was resolved that the Surveyor be instructed to bring
up an estimate of the cost of the whole of the work for laying out the
Bishop's meadow, and a separate estimate of the cost of the whole of
the work in respect of the meadow adjoining the Bishop's Avenue. At
the Works Committee on the 13th March, 1889, the Surveyor stated
that the estimates of cost, &c., were not quite ready, and it was resolved
that the matter stand over for one month.
I am, Gentlemen, your obedient Servant,
CHARLES J. FOAKES,
Clerk to the Vestry.
