Appointed for the Parish of Camberwell.
Gentlemen,
During the year that has now come to an end, I have,
in the course of my official duties as Public Analyst to your
Parish, examined 260 samples of Food and Drugs. Of this
number, 71 were adulterated within the meaning of one or
other of the Acts, under which they were taken. Four Inspectors
submitted 258 of the above samples, and a private
purchaser submitted two (both adulterated butters). J may
here remark that the excess in the number of samples over
200, is due to some 60 samples being short in the previous
