districts are given in Table XVIII.; first, as deduced from
the populations, estimated from the experience of 1871-81,
and second, as deduced from the experience of 1881-91.
The former results are altogether inaccurate, the latter are
as near as may be to the actual truth. As usual the birthrate
of Dulwich is singularly small:—

The deaths registered in Camberwell during the year
(Table XIX.) were 4,220, of which 2,112 were of males, and
2,108 of females; and of which 67 occurred in Dulwich,
1,549 in Camberwell, 1,546 in Peckham, and 1,058 in St.
George's.
But, in addition, .301 parishioners died in Hospitals or
other such institutions outside the Parish; of whom (so far
as I can ascertain) 4 belonged to Dulwich, 103 to Camberwell,
110 to Peckham, and 84 to St. George's (see Table
XX.). If these deaths be added to those which were
registered in the Parish the total mortality for the year
becomes 4,521; the total male and female deaths become
respectively 2,290 and 2,2.31; and the deaths for Dulwich
