BARGING AWAY SLOP AND ROAD REFUSE.
This work has been carried out under contract by
Messrs. Shelbourne & Co., of Limehouse; the quantity removed
by barge was 24,205¾ cart-loads, or 291 barge-loads.
The cost of this work during the year has been at the
rate of 2s. 2d. per cart-load, delivered direct into barges.
(Mem.—A van-load = 1½ cart-loads.
