NEW GULLIES.
30 Gullies for road drainage are in course of construction in
connection with the foregoing works, and extra gullies and alterations
to present gullies where required, have also been executed
to complete the surface drainage in "New Streets" works.
With regard to trapping gullies, the Vestry passed the
following resolution on the 28th March, 1888:—That in future,
in lieu of continuing to use galvanized shackle flaps, all gullies
be syphon trapped, and when any flap-trapped gullies required
repair, they be replaced by syphon-trapped gullies.
