The quantity of Slop collected was:—
Road Slop 26,780 loads.
Gulley Slop 3,756 „
Total 30,536 „
(In 1886-7 the quantity was 25,014 loads).
BARGING AWAY SLOP AND ROAD REFUSE.
This work has been carried out under contract by
Messrs. Shelbourne & Co., of Limehouse; the quantity
removed by barge was 23,372 cart-loads = 308 barge-loads.
The cost of this work has been at the rate of—
Per cart-load, delivered direct into barges - - 1s. lid.
(Mem.—A van-load is = 1½ cart-loads.)
The price per cart-load accepted by the Vestry for the
forthcoming year is 2s. 2d.
REMOVAL OF DUST, DUST BARGING, &c.
The quantity of dust collected during the
past year ending Lady-day' 1888-24,631 loads.
