good openings made for gas and water and drainage trenches,
have been executed by the masons and paviors, in the
employ of the Vestry, the material being supplied by contract
to the Vestry. The work incidental to trenches is charged to
the respective Companies.
Special Repairs have also been executed at:—
Camberwell Road, west side, from Wyndham road to
Avenue road.
Camberwell Grove, east side, from Church street to
Lettsom street.
Wells Street, west side, from the Canal Bridge to
Harling street.
Waterloo Street, from Camberwell green to George
street.
The approximate quantity of New Material used during
the year was as follows:
York Paving 31,069 feet sup.
Kerb 638 „ run.
Granite Pitching 580 yds. sup.
The above quantity of Granite Pitching includes
numerous crossings placed in the footways at entrances to
private premises, which are laid down with the consent of the
Vestry at the expense of the various applicants.
