Report of the AUDITORS to the VESTRY.
Report of the Auditors to the Vestry respecting the Accounts
for the Year ending March 25th, 1887.
Vestry Hall, Camberwell, S.E.
July 26th, 1887.
Gentlemen,
We being the duly appointed Auditors of
the above Parish, have to report that, in accordance with
the provisions of the Metropolis Local Management Act,
1855, we have carefully examined and audited the Books
of Account with the Vouchers relating thereto for the
period from the 26th of March, 1886, to the 25th of March,
1887, both dates inclusive, and with the exception next
to be mentioned we are satisfied that they are corect.
The exception referred to consists in the circumstance
that one of the fifteen gentlemen who were entrusted with
the distribution of the Samaritan Fund had lost his book.
The distributor (Mr. Wrigglesworth) was requested to
appear before us, and he explained to us the loss of his
book, and subsequently rendered us an account to the best
of his recollection. Upon the explanation given we have
no reason to doubt that the £10 entrusted to him was
properly distributed, but no vouchers from the recipients
were produced.
