The birth-rates were all somewhat lower than they were
in 1884, but those of the eastern and southern districts were
as usual the highest.
In Table III. are recorded the deaths from each of the
more important zymotic or infectious diseases in London,
year by year, for the last ten years; and, for the year 1885,
their distribution among the groups of districts:
