LOCAL IMPROVEMENTS.
The following "Local Improvements" have been
arranged and carried out by the Vestry during the past
year:—
Basing Road—(next Peckham High Street), at Tramway
Stables.
Queen's Road—(next Railway Station).
DULWICH COURT LANE TOLL BAR.
This has been removed during the past year by the
Governors of Dulwich College, and the road unrestrictedly
thrown open to public use.
YORK PAVING WORKS.-General.
The general incidental repairs to the flagged footways
of the parish, including those disturbed by drainage,
gas and water trenches, and by hoardings for building
purposes, have been executed by the masons and labourers
employed by the Vestry; the material used in this work
being supplied under contract from the Vestry contractors;
the quantity so used has approximately been as
follows:—
York paving 15,506 feet super.
Kerb 800 feet lineal.
GRANITE PITCHING WORKS.-Speeial.
Paving margins in main roads, between Tramway and
lines of kerb.
The above work has been executed under contract
with Messrs. Rutty, at
St. James' Road, from Old Kent Road to junction
with Rotherhithe New Road.
Rotherhithe New Road, from above to parish
boundary.
