HOUSE DRAINAGE.
Applications for Drainage into the Sewers of
1,295 Houses have been made, and the works, when
carried out, have received the necessary supervision.
DUST REMOVAL.
This is still being carried out with the Plant,
&c., belonging to the Vestry, under the special
supervision of the Sub-Committee appointed for the
purpose. The horses and carts specially employed
for this work number 17, but these at times of
pressure have been found insufficient to deal with
the quantity of dust which accumulates in the Parish
from time to time; for notwithstanding the system
of house to house collection at stated days in each
week, it is found that accumulations will, and do
frequently occur, through the indisposition of
householders to submit to a regular weekly removal.
To overcome this, assistance has been obtained
from the Slopping and Watering Department, the
horses, &c., from which have been engaged when
practicable, to supplement the dust removal.

owners to execute the required Works, under the supervision of the Officers of the Vestry.
