tricts of the Parish. It is reasonable therefore to
distribute them proportionately over all the districts.
This re-distribution I have effected as usual, by first
deducting them from the returns for the Camberwell
sub-district, and then dividing them among all the
districts in proportion to the numbers of the deaths
occurring in them severally. My mode of procedure
and the results at which I arrive are given in the
subjoined Table:—

The death-rate depends on a comparison of the
estimated number of deaths occurring in a locality
during the year with the estimated number of the
population residing there during the same period. I
