LOCAL IMPROVEMENTS.
The following Improvements have been carried
out by the Yestry during the past year:—
Meeting-House Lane, by Cromwell Terrace.—
Ground given up to Public and Road widened.
Rye Lane, next Sternhall Lane.—Ground given
up to Public and Footway widened in front of New
Shops, No. 150 to 160.
Peckham Road, (Camberwell Terrace,) from
Yestry Road to St. Giles' Church.—The footway in
part, 3 to 4 feet above the original Road Level was
lowered, and kerbed and Tar-paved simultaneously
with the new Road Paving Worko, a second Kerb being
laid in front of the entrance steps to the houses in
order to save the expense of re-erecting the garden
fence walls and the forecourt railings. The Footway
also of North Terrace on the opposite side of this
Road was raised, the Kerbing re-set, and the path
Tar-paved, in order to meet the levels of the above
Work.
Peckiiam Road, opposite Nos. 1 and 2, Albion
Terrace.—Ground given up to the Public and the
