The three Teas analyzed were of fair quality.
One Pickle, otherwise of excellent taste and
quality, contained a very distinct trace of tin. No
copper or lead were present.
Of Medicines, four Castor-oils, and four Quinines
complete my list. The castor-oils were all
genuine. The quinines were also good, hut the quantity
of the alkaloid varied. In one case it was as low
as 66 per cent.; in the other three samples it amounted
respectively to 79, 82 and 81 percent. of the sulphate.
The certificates are all in the hands of our
Inspectors.
I remain, Gentlemen,
Yours faithfully,
ALBERT J. BERNAYS.
The above Reports are submitted to the Vestry.
