1714 births in St. George's occurred in a population
of 53,534; and that the population of the entire
Parish amounted to no less than 178,473. On these
estimates of the population the death-rate of Dulwich
becomes 11.8 instead of 5.39, that of Camberwell,
17.8 instead of 20.57 ; that of Peckham, 20.5 instead
25.2 ; that of St. George's, 20.6 instead of 21.37 ;
