The expenditure of the dust department during
the year, which includes the wages of collectors of
the dust, drivers, superintendent, shoot clerk, and
stable keeper, also the cost of fodder, veterinary
attendances, and all other incidental expenses,

Collection.
The above statement shews that the nett cost of
the dust removal for the year 1879-80, comprising
16,216 loads, was £2,060 16s. 3d., or about 2s. 6d.
per load. This, contrasted with the former cost of
5s. 6d. per load, (being the price previous to the
alteration of the system), shews a saving of upwards
£2,000 per annum.
