HOUSE DRAINAGE.

The number of Houses drained into Sewers under the direction, of the Vestry, during the past year is as follows, viz. :—

DUST REMOVAL.
This work is carried on under the direction of
the Sewers Committee and its Dust Sub-Committee,
by the staff, which is now thoroughly organized, and
with the plant, horses, &c., belonging to the Vestry,
resulting in efficiency and economy, as was anticipated
at the commencement of the new system of
Dust Collection; one of its especial features (and
which proves so satisfactory to the Rate-payers),
being the regularity of the house-to-house collection
at stated days of the week in each respective district.
The number of horses and carts employed during
the year was 15, being 3 in excess of the previous
