DUST REMOVAL
This work continues to receive the attention of
your Committee, ably assisted by their Sub-Committee,
which takes especial charge of this department.
The result of the last year's working amply
verifies the report of the previous year—"That signal
success had attended this work, both as to efficiency
and economy."
The same number of Horses viz.: twelve (as
last year) have been employed for this work, supplemented,
(on emergency,) by Horses from the Watering
and Slopping Department.
By reason of the increasing number of houses
in the Parish the quantity of Dust increases also. In
order to carry out the work efficiently, it will verv
shortly become necessary to add to the number of
Horses to be used permanently for this purpose, and
new Stabling and Loose Boxes are now being
erected at the Peckham Park Road Depot, to provide
for this proposed increase.
