"It will probably not be considered necessary (at
least for the present), that the Stone Pitching of
the whole length of the margins of the tramways
in this Parish should be now entertained ; I therefore
confine this Report and Estimate to such portions
as refer to the narrowest thoroughfares, viz :—
Camberwell Road and Church Street, Camberwell,
High street and part of Queen's Road, Peckham (to
about Astbury Road); also that portion of the Old
Kent Road from Mina Road to the Canal Bridee.
The quantity of Pitched Paving required for these
respective Roads is about 24,000 yards superficial,
and the cost would be about £20,000.
