under the "adulteration of foods" act, for the year
ending Lady Day, 1875.
CHEMICAL LABORATORY,
St. Thomas's Hospital Medical and Surgical College,
Midsummer. 1S73.
To the Vestry of St. Giles, Camberwell.
Gentlemen,
I have thought it advisable to condense
the Quarterly Reports of last year, and thus to give
an account of the Working of the Adulteration
Act.
My work has extended to the Analysis of 229
articles, from Lady Day 1874 to Lady Day 1875.
Milk, as usual, occupies the first place. I have
examined 119 specimens, and of these 28 were more
or less grossly adulterated.
