Their attention having been drawn to the
Report of 1871 as to the disposal of the amounts
received as costs of Summonses and Warrants, they
accordingly asked for a statement of those issued
for the current year. They regret to say that their
request has been met by the Collectors with a
refusal on the plea that the Vestry have left the
matter in the Collectors' hands; and they are of
opinion that such a system is most undesirable, and
that the amounts so received should be brought
into the Accounts in the ordinary way.
They call the attention of the Vestry to paragraph
2 of last year's Report, with reference to the
Parish Officer's Check Stamp being provided with a
moveable Die for date; they have found instances
where a date would have been useful, and trust that
they will order the improvement to be made.
Also to paragraph 3, which appears to have
been entirely passed over; and they have, therefore,
again to remind the Vestry of the matter then
referred to.
There are several items, amounting to
£111 5s. 7d., for Refreshments for the year.
