No.1.—Addington Spare, near the Camberwell
High Road,
This well proved very satisfactory. At the depth
of 14ft. 6in. the water was reached, and the sinking
was continued to the depth of 22ft. through coarse
gravel and sand; at this level the water supply was
abundant. The depth of standing water is therefore
7ft. 6in.
