IMPROVEMENTS ON THE LINE OF
HIGHWAYS.
The improvements carried out by the Vestry during the
past year have been as follows:—
church street, and grove lane.
The widening of the Public way of these thoroughfares,
which was in progress when the Vestry Report of last year
was published, has since been completed.
plough hill, lordship lane.
By an arrangement with the agent to the Lord of the
Manor, a portion of the waste Land on the east side of this
Road has been thrown into the Public way, which has effected
a great improvement at this spot, where, from the previously
acute angle in the turn of the Road, and the declivity being
steep, frequent accidents resulted.
