Gentlemen,
I have the honor to lay before you, in my present Report,

registration year 1891, which terminated on the the second day of
January last.
The statistics are calculated on the population as enumerated on
the sixth day of April, 1891 ; this was 129,134.
The number of inhabited houses was then found to be 17,109,
and the aea of the district 755 acres.
DEATHS.
The number of deaths registered in the Parish during the year
was 3080, against 29G1 in the previous year, but this included 141
non-parishioners who died in Bethnal Green Hospitals, and whose
deaths must be excluded from the number. On the other hand I
have received information, from the General Register Office, of
the deaths of 343 inhabitants of Bethnal Green who died in
Hospitals outside the Parish; these deaths must be added, making
a net total of 3282,
