NORTH TERRACE PASSAGE.
In November, Mrs. Natt's Solicitor reported to the Vestry that the
appeal to the Court of Queen's Bench against the Order of Sessions had
been dismissed with costs, and that, therefore, Mrs. Natt was at liberty
to close the passage. This right she has since exercised.

by the Vestry, but without any course appearing open for the
Vestry aiding in developing the Market. The Vestry feeling that the
re-transfer by the Corporation to the Baroness Burdett Coutts of the
Market was a most desirable thing, passed a resolution expressing their
satisfaction at the resumption of the Market by the Baroness, and a copy
of the resolution was transmitted to her.

price of re-laying Carriageway Paving should stand over. The recommendation
was adopted.
The salaries of the Sanitary Inspectors have been raised as follows :

and Mr. John William Burrows to £50. Mr. Charles Alexander Christey,
one of the Sanitary Inspectors, died in January after a protracted illness
which had for a long time disabled him from work.
The Salary of the Surveyor has been raised to £450 per annum.
In July, the Vestry lost by death Mr. James Paul, one of the oldest
members.
The fatal explosion on the Regent's Canal naturally excited alarm,
and representations were made to the Vestry as to large quantities of
