foods are sold "pre-packed". Frequent inspections of all stalls are made and
storage accommodation is also inspected at the time of the initial applicationand later on as necessary.

The position in regard to street traders licensed to engage in the sale of food commodities at December 31st was as follows:-

SECTION 2 (General protection for purchasers of food and drugs).This section provides that a person selling to the prejudice of the purchaser any food or drug which is not of the nature,oVnot of the substance, or not of the quality demanded by thepurchaser•shall be guilty of an offence. SECTION 4 (Regulations as to composition of food, etc.)

The Bread and Flour Regulations, 1963 made jointly by the Minister
of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food and the Minister of Health coming into
operation on 1st September, 1964
(a) prescribe permitted ingredients for white bread, brown bread or wheatmeal
bread, wheat germ bread wholemeal bread and soda bread and requirements
as to the1 composition of bi-ead containing milk solids or added protein
(regs. 5 to 10, 15 and 20):
(b) impose requirements as to the labelling and advertising of the aforesaid
kinds of bread and of bread (containing additional ingredients (regs, 13
14 16 to 19, 21 and 22):
