As in previous years, the department has had the benefit of the co-operation
of the Chief Officers and staff of the other Council departments and
also assistance from the Divisional Medical Officer and staff of Division 4 of
the London County Council. We have also had assistance from the general
practitioners in the borough, and staffs of various hospitals and voluntary
organisations, and I would take this opportunity of thanking them for this
service.
Finally, I would wish to express on behalf of the department, thanks to
the Chairman and Members of the Public Health Committee, and Members of the
Council as a whole for their help and encouragement throughout the year.
