All the welfare centres in the Borough serve as distribution points for
welfare foods and vitamin preparations,

SECTION 25 (Home Nursing). The Hackney District Nursing Association, which is
affiliated to the Queens Institute of District Nursing, provides the home
nursing service on an agency basis for the County Council. The number of

The Association also administered, on a voluntary basis, the "Day and
Night Nursing Service Scheme" of the Marie Curie Memorial Foundation using,
chiefly, the service for night nursing, thus giving relief to relatives and
friends of patients suffering from cancer. Under this scheme 24 patients
received nursing care, and an additional 8 were provided with extra nourishment
or comforts
