SECTION 2 (General protection for purchasers of food and drugs). This section
provides that a person selling to the prejudice of the purchaser any food or
drug which is not of the nature, or not of the substance, or not of the quality
demanded by the purchaser, shall be guilty of an offence.

SECTION 4 (Regulations as to composition of food, etc ) The Lead in Food
Regulations 1961 made jointly by the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food
and the Minister of Health, lay down statutory limits for the lead content of
food and beverages imported, sold or intended for sale for human consumption-
