Maternal Mortality. There were two deaths from causes associated with
pregnancy or childbirth, certified as follows:-
Age Cause of Death
33 Injection of air and fluid into genital passages and
pregnant uterus. Attempted self-induced abortion.
About 36 Acute heart failure. Parturition.

71 years Infective hepatitis.
77 years Broncho pneumonia due to chronic liver abscess. Chronic
amoebiasis.
Female-69 years Viral hepatitis. Carcinoma of vulva.
Leukaemia. Details of the seven male and eight female deaths classified
under this group are as follows:-
Males-5 hours Respiratory failure. Congenital leukaemia.
9 months Acute leukaemia.
32 years Acute leukaemia.
60 years Subarachroid haemorrhage. Lymphatic leukaemia.
63 years Acute lymphatic leukaemia,
70 years Acute leukaemia (Aleukaemia).
76 years Cerebral haemorrhage. Acute leukaemia.
Females-50 years Congestive cardiac failure. Anaemia. Chronic myeloid
leukaemia.
53 years Haematemesis Chronic myeloid leukaemia.
57 years Acute lymphatic leukaemia.
62 years Leukaemia (Monocytic).
67 years Broncho pneumonia Chronic lymphatic leukaemia.
69 years. Broncho pneumonia Chronic lymphatic leukaemia.
76 years Acute leukaemia.
87 years Myocardial failure Broncho pneumonia. Aleukaemic
lymphatic leukaemia.
