TUBERCULOSIS.
During the year under review 249 cases of pulmonary tuberculosis
and 15 cases of non-pulmonary tuberculosis were notified
for the first time under the Public Health (Tuberculosis) Regulations,
1930.

The attack-rate per 1,000 of the population for all forms of
tuberculosis notified for the first time in 1948 was 1.52, the same
figure as for the previous year.
