The average attendance of expectant mothers was 13 per
session and was considerably higher on some occasions during
the year. Additional sessions were held in 1947 in order to
reduce the average number of women to be examined at each session.
The Medical Superintendent of Hackney Hospital and the Secretary Superintendent of the Salvation Army Mothers' Hospital have kindly supplied the following figures regarding the work of the ante-natal clinics held at those hospitals:—
