Health Visiting— In 1920 the Council employed 9 Health
Visitors for maternity and child welfare work and these Officers
paid during that year a total of 13,593 visits and made 802 half-day
attendances at Clinics. In the year under review 18 Health Visitors
and the Child Protection Visitor paid 41,404 visits and made 2,845
half-day attendances at Clinics. Details of the work of the Health
Visitors and Child Protection Visitor are given in the Table which
appears on pages 20 and 21.
