INFANTILE MORTALITY.
The deaths of 105 children under the age of twelve months were
allocated to Hackney by the Registrar-General during 1945. This
number of deaths gives an infantile mortality rate of 41.89 per 1,000
live births, the rate for England and Wales being 46 and for London
53.
