DEATHS.
The deaths registered during the year, adjusted for inward and
outward transfers and excluding non-civilian deaths registered
after the 3rd September, 1939, numbered 2,223. The crude death
rate from all causes is 11.3 and the corrected death rate is 11.8.
The comparable rate for England and Wales is 12.1 and that for
London 11.9.
