However, we may be able to stand up to one such year—but difficult would
be our position were it followed by another! Therefore, some further effort
has to be made for the future.
We do, most sincerely, thank all our Donors and Subscribers, who have
assisted us financially, so well! But, would these good friends help us still
further by interesting other folk in our work! The need is very great just now.
Thank you, if you will!
Particularly do we extend our most grateful thanks and appreciation to
His Worship the Mayor of Hackney, Henry W. Capell, Esq., for the collection
of £16 19s. Od. for the Nursery Pound Day; to the organisers of Dances, Concerts.
Plays, etc., the profits from which come to us; to all those ladies who assisted
on Flag Days—their help enabled us to benefit from the proceeds of the collections—and
also to the Sunday Cinema Charities. We continue to value
greatly the financial support received through them.
To conclude—a very big "THANK YOU" to our Chairman, Alderman C.
Fisher Yates, and Mrs. Yates, who have so ably taken care of us all.
Their kindly influence and control is reflected throughout; and from that
reflection, those of us who serve get the inspiration that leads to further effort
on behalf of, and for, the Nursery.
