One outstanding item of interest during the year was the
holding of a Health Exhibition in the Assembly Hall at the Town
Hall during the week from 27th September to 2nd October.
This Exhibition was the first of its kind held in the Borough
and was undoubtedly a great success, being attended by more than
16,000 persons. The models and exhibits were very largely made
by my staff, and the following extract from the "Nursing Times"
gives an impression of the extent of the Exhibition. Thanks are
